Community groups in Prestwich are invited to bid for a share of £27,000 brought in from the last Parklife festival in Heaton Park.

The annual concert donates money for a Community Fund which is distributed to local organisations in Bury, Rochdale and Manchester boroughs which are based nearest the park. Priority is given to groups and projects that benefit parks and open spaces and young people. 

Applications from groups based in Prestwich (Sedgley, Holyrood and St Mary’s wards) open on 4 January and close on 28 January. The maximum grant available to one organisation is £2,000.

Decisions will be made by a panel of Prestwich councillors and successful applicants will be notified by the end of February.

In addition, there is £24,500 available in micro-grants to groups across the three local authorities.
