Prestwich Roadworks February 2020 and M60 Resurfacing work starts 3 February

by timpickstone on 28 January, 2020

Details of roadworks for the month below – no major roadworks scheduled for Prestwich, but some nearby that may well affect residents. For the full list see the GM Roadworks site here

M60 between junctions 15 and 18 – carriageway surfacing work start 3 February 2020. The work will take place on both sides of the carriageway and will include replacement of road markings. Work is due to start on or shortly after 3 February 2020 for approximately two weeks. This will take place Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 9pm and 5am (extended to 7am during the weekend), subject to traffic flows.

For safety purposes, full overnight closures are required on the M60 between junctions 15 and 18. This will take place in various phases during the dates and times stated above, and only one side of the carriageway will be closed at a time. Associated slip road closures will also be required, and localised signed diversion routes will be in place.

Please note that additional surfacing work is planned later this year, and further communication will be provided closer to the time. For more information on this and other work in the north-west, please visit https://highwaysengland.co.uk/regions/north-west.
