Information from the team at Whitefield Halloween Festival:

Whitefield Halloween Festival, the North West Premier Halloween destination, kicks off in true spooktacular style on Sunday 30 October, 11am at Hamilton Road Park. Our 12ft fully animatronic dragon will parade around the park led by the Goblin Queen while our minstrels and Medieval Story teller keep you entertained. There is plenty for all the family to get into the spirit of the holiday with traditional Halloween games, pumpkin carving, lantern making, creepy animals, falconry display, competitions, new age products, hog roast, Slattery’s heavenly delights, White Room’s warm cider, Scoops ice (s)cream, tarot and close-up magician to name but a few. Primary school children have created giant mythical creatures while secondary school children across the borough have written poems about Halloween. Paranormal Investigators delve into the unknown from 4.30pm at Whitefield Library, followed by Lantern parade led by Bury Council Ranger Service at 6.30pm. Make sure you have polished up on your knowledge of all things Halloween and get yourself down to The White Room at 8pm for our Quiz, followed by classic horror film as voted by the public via the festival website.

We have teamed up with Whitefield Business Group and GM Police and Fire’s ‘Operation Treacle’ to encourage children to celebrate Halloween responsibly.

At the Halloween Festival launch on Friday 14 October Coronation Street’s Maria, Samia Smith, and mother to two year-old Freya, said, “As a mother I fully support what Whitefield Halloween Festival stands for. This is a quality organised event that provides a safe environment for children to celebrate Halloween, but above all enjoy themselves.”
