Prestwich Methodist Youth Association, the volutnary group which runs the “Phoenix Centre” – Prestwich’s youth centre in St Mary’s Park – needs your support to help in it succeed in its application for funding to support some of its youth activities.

Prestwich Methodist Youth Association have been working for several years to develop youth provision with young people within the Prestwich Area. The ROC iniative provides young people with safe, fun, enjoyable and positive activities over two nights per week, one of them being a Friday night. We work with around 30 – 40 young people each Friday in order to provide a diversionary activity to either substance or alcohol use, as well as, reducing potential for involvement in anti-social behaviour.

This fund would employ a professional youth worker for 12 months working two sessions per week; it would also fund some resources for the sessions.
