Just to update residents on a number of problems that people have been having with the bins at Heywood Court (Baguley Crescent).
Apparently there have been a number of problems over recent weeks – particularly refuse collection service on 23 December was not able to be completed because 2 bin stores were found to be locked and a blue bin was contaminated (ie not just recycling in it), meaning that it could not be emptied.
My understanding is that all excess waste was cleared on Tuesday 14 January and the blue bin was decontaminated and emptied so everything is now back in order.
I have asked the refuse management team to monitor the situation and they will be allocating this as a case for one of the Refuse Officers to look at.
If residents could let me know if the situation deteriorates again and we can try to keep on top of it.

Why not just redraw the town boundary, give Baguley Crescent and heywood old road to Rochdale council.
