A number of residents have been in touch to ask if we know of ways that people can help with the tragedy which is happening in the Ukraine.

The Prestwich 22nd Scout Group on Church Lane are working with the Ukrainian and Polish communities here in Manchester and providing somewhere local to drop off donations. Any evening things can be dropped off at the Scout Hut on Church Lane and also at the St Margaret’s Road Scout Hut. Long lists of items needed which includes thermal clothing, blankets and first aid items.

The British Red Cross, is working the the Ukrainian Red Cross to help people with immediate needs who are affected by the war. This includes food, water, first aid, medicine, warm clothes and shelter.
