The COVID-19 Testing Site on the Longfield Suite Car Park in Prestwich is being made significantly smaller. In recent months the number of residents using the testing site has decreased dramatically and has a current utilisation rate of 12%.  The Department of Health is reducing the number of testing bays at the centre from 12 to 3 – this will still leave sufficient testing capacity but also release many car parking spaces back in to public use. These works are scheduled to start on 11 November and will be completed by 16 November.

Covid Booster Vaccines
You will be invited to receive your booster vaccine six months after you had your second Covid-19 vaccination. You will also be offered the seasonal flu vaccination at the same appointment.

First and Second Dose Covid Vaccines
Vaccinations are available for everyone aged 12 or over. Children aged 12 to 15 have been offered a first vaccination at their school. If your child missed the session previously arranged, catch up sessions are being organised with schools, please wait to be contacted. Alternatively appointments can be booked at external vaccination clinics through the NHS National Booking Service or by phoning 119. Vaccinations for 12 to 15-year-olds are not currently available at Bury’s four vaccination clinics.
