Refurbishment of the overhead line between Kearsley and Whitegate
Just to let residents know about National Grid work that is starting soon on the electricity pylons in our area. They will be starting work again soon on the pylon that is between the M60 and Kenilworth Avenue. You may notice more vehicles in the area, safe working areas created around the pylon and members of our team climbing and working on the pylon.
So they can work safely they need to close the road directly in front of the pylon when they are working on it. This is expected to be between 3 and 6 August. This means that there will be no through traffic along Kenilworth Avenue during the closure. The closure will only be in place when we are working on the pylon – this is expected to be around 8.00am to 4.30pm. The closure will be removed when we are not working.
Access to homes within the closure area will be possible and will be managed by the site team. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Pedestrian access will still be possible.
Your electricity supplies will not be affected by our work.
If you would like to talk to them about this, you can call their community relations team on 0800 8199071 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. There is an answerphone service outside of these hours or email nationalgrid@kearsleytowhitegate.com. There is also more information about the project on their webpage: https://www.nationalgridet.com/infrastructure-projects/kearsley-whitegate\
