Important Local elections take place on 3 May 2018, so now is s good time to make sure you are registered to vote.

Poll cards are being sent to all those who are currently on the electoral register. If you have not received a poll card in a couple of weeks, please contact 0161 253 5252 or email electionservices@bury.gov.uk. Polling stations are open on Thursday 3 May from 7am to 10pm.

You have until 17 April to register to vote if they haven’t already done so. The quickest and easiest way to do this is by going online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. Voters will need their National Insurance number when they register. Contact the above details if you want a paper copy.

Residents who are registered for a postal vote will have received a postal poll card. Postal ballot packs will be delivered to electors on or around 20 April. If you are not registered to vote by post, but would like to be you need to complete an application and return it by 5pm on 18 April. You can download an application form to print here.
