Last month at Bury’s Annual Council award the 2016 ‘Made in Bury Community Awards’ to individuals and community groups who had made a special difference in our communities.

Bury’s Lib Dem Leader, Cllr Tim Pickstone, presented the ‘Volunteer of the Year’ awards to: Peter James-Robinson, Geeta Sarin, Gary Dawson and Elaine Valle-Jones.

One of our very own Prestwich ‘lollypop’ ladies, Gwendoline Robinson, was the winner of the ‘good neighbour awards. Special awards were given to teams who had such a difference in Ramsbottom and Radcliffe in the Boxing Day floods last year.
