We were pleased to be able to support a number of funding applications for St Margaret’s Bowling Club (junction of Polefield Road and St Margaret’s Road, and delighted when they were successful.

The club have asked us to circulate the following information to local residents about the improvements the grants have paid for and if people are interested in joining.

St Margaret’s Bowling Club is a non-profit making sporting organisation that is run by volunteers and has been in existence for over 120 years.

The club have recently been very successful in a number of funding bids they submitted.

Viridor credits have provided £5469 towards the replacement of their 1970’s kitchen, Bury Council Township Forum Community Fund have approved funding of £250 towards the cost of a new cooker and fridge and the ‘I will if you will’ project have granted £689.88 towards some new bowling equipment.

The club are delighted and would like to thank everyone who has supported their applications. All the new equipment will be in place by 20th March when the green opens for the 2016 season.
