Just so people know there are significant roadworks at the junction of Whittaker Lane and Bury Old Road (outside Heaton Park Metrolink). These started 1 September 2015 for eight weeks.

The work is to signalise the junction of Bury Old Road/Whittaker Lane, Prestwich which will include pedestrian and cycle crossing facilities.

Alterations will also be made to the car park at Heaton Park Metrolink station and during this period the car park will be closed.
