“Students at Prestwich Arts College have smashed all records to deliver the school’s best ever GCSE results. The percentage of students achieving 5, or more, GCSE’s at the top grades has improved by a huge 15% to 82.2% and the improvement in the percentage of students achieving 5, or more, GCSE’s including both English and Maths is even better – up by 17% to 55.2%. Both boys and girls have substantially improved their performance and the so called ‘gender gap’ is at its narrowest for some time – only 7% in favour of the girls. Science results have also been impressive with an improvement of some 13.5%.”
